Another beautifully lost dreamer with an incurable case of wanderlust.

In April 2013 I decided to do the whole quit my job, pack my backpack and not looked back thing.
I wanted to experience the real world, while escaping the real world.
I wanted to do crazy things and meet people I wouldn’t normally cross paths with.
I travelled South East Asia, got my working holiday visa for Australia and planned to go on to
New Zealand, Canada and South America…
However, life did that thing it does best and messed up my grand plan (for the good, of course!)
I met a guy, fell in love, became a Resident of Australia and am now
absolutely loving life ‘stuck’ in one place.
I work in travel and still jet off at any given opportunity,
but I’m discovering I can be just as happy living in ‘reality’ in beautiful Byron Bay

Totally Sam’s World is my hobbie, my passion.
I write about my travel experiences and emotions; the good, the bad and the ugly!
I like to share tips and stories in the hope that I can inspire people to get out there
and explore this fascinating planet that we live on.

I hope you love it!

This is me at my happiest: make up free by the sea.

  1. Glad to see you joine the WP side 🙂

  2. Sam you inspire me so I had to nominate you for the Versatile Blogger Award 🙂
    Congratualtions my friend!

  3. just out of interest how much did you save for your RTW trip?
I have so many options it’s hard deciding what to do first!

    • Hi Kay, they say leave about a grand per month for Asia and then you need 3.5k to get into Australia without a flight home booked on a working visa. So I have Asia money and a bit to tide me over for when I am job hunting. Good luck!

  4. Not long to go now Sam!

  5. I see that going on a safari to see the “Big Five” is on your bucket list. You are missing a lot and should pop into Africa soon, particularly Kenya’s Maasai Mara and the Wildebeest Migration.

  6. I just had to subscribe 🙂

  7. Hey Sam, pleasure to officially make your blog acquaintance. I must say, your brief proclamation above is very to the point but gets across the message of your goals and dream. You are one gnarly gal! Will definitely be following ya, and I’m excited you began traveling recently too! Looking forward to seeing more, keep on being awesome dahhhling!

    • Hey Ryan! Thanks so much darl 🙂 I absolutely LOVE your blog, let’s be blog friends haha xx
